Hallie is a firm believer in work hard, PLAY hard and you’ll find out exactly what she means when you take her class. × Amanda Amanda {affectionately known as Moo} was classically trained in ballet for years growing up and as an adult was so happy to find barre. She took her first barre class in 2008 and a few weeks later was training to be a barre{tender}. You’ll usually spot her at the studio with the best crew around and the most incredible clients ever, but on the weekends you’ll most likely hear her and her husband, Billy, cheering on their two daughters in either soccer or lacrosse. Fun fact…Moo met her husband while she was driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Yup, she showed him her 27-foot wiener and it was love at first sight! You’ll have to get the details from her. Haha! × Danica Mock Danica grew up in Seattle, went thousands of miles away for college in New Orleans and her first accounting job in New York City, but she eventually joined her identical twin sister, Toria, in San Diego {those twin bonds are real!}. Danica spent years being a loyal client and convincing friends to take class with her at Studio Barre Bird Rock, but when the opportunity presented itself, she just couldn’t resist joining the crew herself. While she loves the SBBR family a whole heck of a lot, kittens/puppies and chicken tenders make a close second and third! × Kelsey Vaughan Midwest girl at heart, but got a taste of the California sunshine in 2015 and hasn’t looked back. Outside of barre she loves a good beach day, playing pickup soccer games, and {most importantly} her fur-baby…Rufus! × Lizzie Berryhill Lizzie has lived in San Diego for almost 10 years now and is soaking up every bit of it. When she’s not at the barre, she’s a professional dancer for BrickHouse Dance Productions and Legoland California. You can also catch her in the bay crewing on a catamaran or slinging t-shirts at a Padres game! × Brigitte Fuller Brigitte, her hubby Clinton, and their puppy posse have crossed the country calling a few places home, but landed in San Diego back in 2017. Brigitte is currently studying physical therapy at SDSU and combining that with her previous professional dance career it’s no wonder she finds joy in teaching barre which she has been doing for 10+ years! When you don’t see her smiling {or groaning} at barre, you might just catch her at Catania serving delicious food or the PT clinic getting hands on experience for post graduation! One thing is for sure…SBBR holds her favorite humans! × Concetta Violanti Concetta moved to San Diego from the Bay Area to attend college at University of San Diego 4 years ago. During that time, she found Studio Barre Bird Rock and has been obsessed ever since. Her favorite thing to do post-barre is grab an iced latte with oat milk and a croissant from Wayfarer pastry down the street and take a walk in Bird Rock! When she’s not at barre, she is studying to become a nurse or hanging out with her golden retriever fur baby Bear! × Cassie Kyaw Cassie grew up in the hot sun of Palm Springs, CA, and brought her sunshine-y personality all the way down to San Diego! She recently graduated from UCSD and is getting ready for medical school {paging future Dr. Cassie}! Outside of barre, medical assisting, and her hospital internship, Cassie loves to dance and you’ll most likely get to see that dance moves on display during her barre classes! × Kellie Switzer Kellie first taught at Studio Barre Bird Rock back in 2019, and after a quick stint away in Texas, it was time to come back to California and her second home, Studio Barre! She’s a diehard Texas girl, the best bulldog momma around, and the freest of free spirits! In her spare time she likes to play auntie to her niece and nephew and watch the sunset in her favorite hideaway. Oh and she does that big girl job too as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, but honestly she’d rather be squeezing your tushy! × Ashley Phillips Ashley was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ {yes she’s a Zonie, but we still love her}. She moved to San Diego 4 years ago and within weeks found a second home at Studio Barre. Two fun facts about Ashley is she was a contestant on the Price is Right and won a trampoline {ha!} and lived on a cruise ship for 4 months during a college study program! × Halicia Halicia {aka Hallie} has been teaching barre for 5 years and began her journey of being an instructor after only taking one class! She is MULTI-passionate and you can also find her on camera as a host, DJing private events, creating fun content online or just roller-blading by the beach. When she’s not at the studio, she works full time as a Program Manager at Aya Healthcare. In my free time she spends lots of time with her fiancé Josh, their 2 pups, Oscar and Finn and of course, as much beach time as sh can! × McKenzie Hall McKenzie was born and raised in San Diego, but went to Ole Miss for college where she met her fiancé Sam. She is loving living back in San Diego with her family and friends! She is a full-time nutritionist who loves roaming the aisles of Whole Foods finding new and innovative food products. When she’s not at the beach or working, she is either at a wedding or spending her time convincing Sam to get them a dog. × Beatrice White Beatrice {affectionately called Bea} barre hopped around San Diego and found where she belonged in 2020….Studio Barre Bird Rock. When she’s not behind the desk doing her barre{ista} gig, she’s probably taking class, babysitting the cutest kids or hanging with the craziest pup ever, Lola! × Whitney Allen Hailing from North Dakota then a small stint in Canada, Whitney finally found sunny San Diego in 2016 and is never leaving! She’s a true nerdy accountant by day, but bleeds Studio Barre yellow and grey and spends most of her free time at the studio. If she’s not at the studio she’s probably golfing with her love, Remy or cuddling with her pup Goldie. But who are we kidding she brings them to barre too! × Meridith Lacey SBBR has been Mer’s happy place” since inception- starting as a client, then Barre{ista} and finally a Barre{tender} since 2015. In addition to teaching barre, Mer’s also a full-time Real Estate agent and mom of two. Outside of the studio Mer and her family love to spend time at the beach together. × Megan O’ Hargan As a former D1 Athlete and cheerleader, Megan is a Studio Barre regular because each class kicks her a$$ and she is super musically driven. Her goal is for each person to leave her class feeling strong, proud, and motivated to go even harder in the next class.
